Is your "survival strategy" burning you out?

Hey Reader

"I’ll rest when I’m done."

How many times have you said that this week?

If you’re like most of the women I work with, you’ve spent years perfecting the role of the "Strong One." You’re the human calendar, the emotional shock absorber, and the one everyone turns to when things get tough.

But here’s the truth we rarely talk about: Being the "Strong One" isn't a personality trait. It’s a survival strategy. And while that strategy might have served you in the past, it’s likely the very thing keeping you trapped in a cycle of burnout and guilt. In the latest podcast episode, "Beyond Survival Mode: How to Pause Without Guilt," we are having a radical conversation about rest.

We’re moving away from the idea that rest is a reward for exhaustion and toward a new paradigm: Your rest is required, not rewarded.

In this episode, I share:

•Why the "Strong One" narrative is actually a trap.

•The science behind why your brilliance requires a break.

•The Recharge & Rise Framework for taking a pause without the shame.

You can accomplish your goals and dreams without forsaking your family, your health, and your well-being.

But you can’t do it on an empty tank.

Exclusive for Subscribers: Your Micro-Pause Playbook

As a valued subscriber, I wanted to share something extra special to help you immediately implement the "Recharge & Rise Framework."

We often think of rest as a big, scheduled event, but micro-pauses throughout your day can be incredibly powerful. Here are three quick, guilt-free micro-pauses you can integrate today:

1.The 60-Second Breath Reset: Before you open that next email or tackle the next task, close your eyes and take 5 deep, slow breaths. Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 6. This instantly calms your nervous system.

2.The "Look Up" Break: Step away from your screen or task and look out a window for 2 minutes. Focus on something in the distance. This helps reset your eyes and your mind, reducing mental fatigue.

3.The Hydration Pause: Grab a glass of water, walk away from your desk, and drink it slowly. This simple act combines physical movement with essential hydration, giving your brain a much-needed break.

These small moments add up to significant energy shifts, allowing you to show up more present and brilliant.

P.S. If you’re ready to dive deeper into building your village while honoring your life, my book Harmony Hustle for Women is the perfect companion for this journey. Click here to listen to the introduction of Harmony Hustle for Women.

It’s time to move from burnout to brilliance, on your terms.
